Gluten Free Pumpkin Swirl Brownies: The Heritage Cook

"If you are traveling to another home for Thanksgiving and are bringing a dessert or just want to share something fun with everyone there, these brownies are perfect. Easily transportable, after baking and cooling, you can lift them out of the pan, cut into squares, and then place them back in the same pan (still on the parchment). Wrap the pan and you’re all set."

"The batter/ dough of the biscotti is very close to that of cookies or scones. You bring them together into a shape, make it like a log and bake it for sometime till firm. Once cool, it is cut into slices and baked again till they get crunchy. The kids loved it with their cup of warm milk, while I had it just like that. I had made half the recipe and wished I had made the whole, but InShaAllah, hopefully this is the start to many more biscottis in the future. "

Today is such a bittersweet day - the last SRC reveal day. "These bars are so easy to make and require minimal dishes, minimal fussing with layers, and a short baking time! I loved these bars (and they were great to use extra Halloween candy- yes we still have some). I also loved that this was a recipe for an 8 x 8 pan. Many time, I feel like dessert recipes make so many portions it either, does not get eaten, or we over eat in effort not to waste it. However, we can take care of an 8 x 8 pan!"

Reveal Day - November 7, 2016
Can you believe it's already November? I can't! Today marks the final Group A reveal day as Secret Recipe Club comes to an end. It has been a wild ride for sure and has been a going strong for the better part of 5 years! So many food bloggers have taken part in the Club and it has really been such an amazing collaboration of bloggers. I feel like we have all enjoyed making friends and creating strong bonds that will last a lifetime :) I could not have asked for a better group of bloggers. So thank you to each and every one of y'all that have taken part in SRC from the beginning to the end. It was so much fun! Stay tuned for the final reveal days for Group B & C.

"We did enjoy this thick, frozen treat. It certainly cooled the throat and maybe froze it a time or two also! I did have to make a change...I only had half and half so I substituted it for the cream and I topped it with a drizzle of chocolate and chocolate covered coffee beans! Perfect!"
