Twisted Cinnamon Rolls: Baking and Creating with Avril
One of today's featured recipes comes from Group A blogger, Avril of Baking and Creating with Avril, who made Twisted Cinnamon Rolls from her assigned blog, Chef in Disguise. What a unique twist on cinnamon rolls (see what I did there haha). I didn't think it was possible to make them look more delicious!
Avril had this to say about her recipe:
"4 lovely layers of dough blanket melted butter which is then sprinkled with a cinnamon sugar coating on top of each dough layer. The layered circle of deliciousness is cut into 8 portions which are then cut again with a slit in their centers. The slit in the mid section provides the tip of each portion to be looped into it which creates the twist. So much fun!"

Chocolate Granola: 84th & 3rd
Today's featured recipe comes from Group D. JJ of 84th & 3rd made Chocolate Granola from her assigned blog, Food.Baby.Life. I am all about granola right now - it's easily my favorite snack (with yogurt). I can only imagine how great this would be with strawberry yogurt - be it would taste like a chocolate-covered strawberry :)
JJ had this to say about her recipe:
"It is worth taking quite seriously my number one piece of advice if you make this recipe — store the granola out of sight. If you leave it on the counter, catching a glimpse each time you pass it on the way to the sink, you will want to pick at it endlessly (just one more spoon, ok, two more, maybe three), even after having a bowl of it for breakfast. Ahem."

Maple Oat Pecan Scones: Feed Me Seymour
Today's featured recipe comes from Group D. Kim of Feed Me Seymour made Maple Oat Pecan Scones from her assigned blog, Baking and Creating with Avril. Kim is one of two newbies to Group D for the month of August and I have to say...I am so excited to see what Kim and Julie come up with in the future because their first reveal day just blew me away!
Kim had this to say about her recipe:
"I love how the maple syrup gives them just the right touch of sweetness. Not too much, just right. Avril topped hers with a maple glaze that is absolutely to-die-for but I opted to skip it. I wanted to pack these for breakfast and glaze – while amazingly sweet and delicious – tends to be a little sticky. They are perfect without it but if you are choosing to make them for company, whip up some glaze and have it on the side for guests."
