Most Popular: Chicken Korma with Apricots and Almonds: Bewitching Kitchen
After a great reveal day for Group A, it's time to reveal the "Most
Popular" recipe. This recipe was chosen by YOU the readers. YOU loved it
and now I'm sharing it! Our most viewed recipe was Chicken Korma with Apricots and Almonds from Sally of Bewitching Kitchen.
Sally had this to say about the recipe...
"Three chicken breasts were enough for our dinner and lunch a couple of days later. I should add that the sauce was even more flavorful the second time around, although the texture of the meat was better right after cooking. Overall, this korma is not spicy, just very aromatic. We enjoyed it over white rice with snap peas alongside. Delicious dinner!"

Indian-Style Meatballs: Culinary Adventures with Camilla
Today's featured recipe comes from Group B blogger, Camilla of Culinary Adventures with Camilla, who made Indian-Style Meatballs from her assigned blog, The Hobo Kitchen. We just had a wonderful Sunday Supper Movement event featuring meatballs, so I'm on the meatball train right now wanting to have all these amazing recipes to hoard. It was exciting to see yet another meatball recipe on Monday :)
Camilla had this to say about her recipe:
"We love Indian flavors in our household, so her Indian-Style Meatballs won out. Mine are slightly adapted as I made them gluten-free and baked them versus pan-fried them."

Amazing Apricot Bars: Bewitching Kitchen
Today's featured recipe comes from Group D. Sally of Bewitching Kitchen made Amazing Apricot Bars from her assigned blog, Palatable Pastime. Although no one in the family up until this point likes apricots, I have one little baby man who does and when he's old enough for sweets - I'm gonna have to spoil him with these little bars!
Sally had this to say about her recipe:
"As usual, I brought the whole batch to our department, and by 9:30 am, not a single crumb was left on the platter. So, I advise that if you intend to share it friends, make sure to grab a square for yourself right away… They are seriously addictive."

Honey Almond Scones: The Harried Cook
Today's featured recipe comes from Group B. Marsha of The Harried Cook made Honey Almond Scones from her assigned blog, Goodie Godmother. These immediately made me think Honey Nut Cheerios. I imagine them to taste like that!
Marsha had this to say about her recipe:
"The only modification I made was the addition of almonds. My husband needs the crunch of nuts in scones for them to be 'perfect' and almonds and honey made perfect sense to me."

Chocolate Granola: 84th & 3rd
Today's featured recipe comes from Group D. JJ of 84th & 3rd made Chocolate Granola from her assigned blog, Food.Baby.Life. I am all about granola right now - it's easily my favorite snack (with yogurt). I can only imagine how great this would be with strawberry yogurt - be it would taste like a chocolate-covered strawberry :)
JJ had this to say about her recipe:
"It is worth taking quite seriously my number one piece of advice if you make this recipe — store the granola out of sight. If you leave it on the counter, catching a glimpse each time you pass it on the way to the sink, you will want to pick at it endlessly (just one more spoon, ok, two more, maybe three), even after having a bowl of it for breakfast. Ahem."

Sriracha Sesame Pork Meatballs: Culinary Adventures with Camilla
Today's featured recipe comes from Group B. Camilla of Culinary Adventures with Camilla made Sriracha Sesame Pork Meatballs from a Group A orphaned blog, Cookaholic Wife. I've still never had sriracha - although I've heard once you go sriracha, you never go back.
Camilla had this to say about her recipe:
"I have to admit that though I've seen sriracha in the stores and in countless recipes, I've never tried it or cooked with it...until now. I doubt I'll go sriracha-mad as Nichole did, but it was delicious. And everyone at the party wanted more."

Magic Triangles: Jessie Weaver
Today's featured recipe comes from Group A. Jessie of Jessie Weaver, the Vanderbilt Wife made Magic Triangles from her assigned blog, Adventures in All Things Food. I love the smorgasbord type cookies/bars - you just throw whatever you have in your baking cabinet in and it turns out like heaven!
Jessie had this to say about her recipe:
"They are easy to customize with what you have. I didn’t have as many mini-marshmallows as I thought I did, so I threw some little caramel pieces on and they added a great chewy factor. I used a mix of dark and white chocolate chips, omitted nuts, and only put coconut on half since my husband doesn’t like it. I was wishing I had put some nuts on top, though, because I think the sweet-salty factor would really put these over the top! (Pretzels might work, too. YUMMM!)"

Almond Toffee Coconut Chocolate Chip Cookies: Authentic Suburban Gourmet
Back when the old SRC site crashed, we still went on with reveal days as normal, but I wasn't able to feature recipes from Group C before I got the new SRC site up and running. So since we had no reveal day on Monday, this week was supposed to be all about Group C, but life got a hold of me and I got busy. So I'm gonna try and get up these recipes over the weekend. I still want Group C to have their spotlight! Today's featured recipe comes from Group C's August reveal day. Lisa of Authentic Suburban Gourmet made Almond Toffee Coconut Chocolate Chip Cookies from her assigned blog, Our Eating Habits. Not only did Lisa share these wonderful cookies - she also shared some very cute pictures of her new (at the time) puppies, Marty and Stewart!
Lisa had this to say about her recipe:
"Of course, I wanted to put my spin on the recipe, so I added coconut and a touch more vanilla to kick it up a bit. The end result was a two bite cookie that was packed with flavor and texture. Thank you Jamie for such inspirational recipes!"
