Crock Pot Boston Baked Beans: Life on Food
Today's featured recipe comes from Group D blogger, Emily of Life on Food, who made Crock Pot Boston Baked Beans from her assigned blog, Lavender and Lovage. Baked beans are one of my all-time favorite side dishes and I've been known to eat baked beans and hot dogs for lunch when the craving arises. I love that this recipe is from scratch PLUS has molasses in it :)
Emily had this to say about her recipe:
"Brown on brown is never great to photograph so don't let the pictures fool you. This is a really great recipe. Not quite Mimi's but close and that is saying a lot."

Chicken Enchilada Dip: It's Yummy To My Tummy
Today's featured recipe comes from Group C. Heather of It's Yummy To My Tummy made Chicken Enchilada Dip from her assigned blog, Happy Go Lucky. I love a good hearty dip and it's just in time for football season!
Heather had this to say about her recipe:
"What a crowd pleasing recipe, it was a hit, when we ran out of chips, we were seriously using whatever we could to eat up the delicious dip. Tortilla chips, Pringles, or maybe just a spoon, whatever the method is, it is a great appetizer that you can practically turn into a meal, as it is that satisfying. "

Huevos Rancheros: Fit Mama Real Food
Today's featured recipe comes from Group B. Heather of Fit Mama Real Food made Huevos Rancheros from her assigned blog, Cookin' Mimi. Just hearing "Huevos Rancheros" makes me so hungry. And I don't think I've ever had it! I've had Rancheros without the huevos :) I also love that Heather did this for brinner and know that it would be perfect for our brinner night because Nick hates when I do meatless nights - and pancakes don't have meat in them!
Heather had this to say about her recipe:
"After browsing through her breakfast recipes I settled on huevos rancheros. I’ve had it once or twice in my life and had never made it at home. No better time than now to change that, right?"

Kate had this to say about her recipe:
"I had made Italian Wedding Soup quite a few years ago but made beef meatballs so I was eager to try this more healthy approach using ground chicken and chicken sausage for the meatballs. This certainly didn't disappoint!"

Hummus with Roasted Tomatoes and Whole Wheat Pita: Sew You Think You Can Cook
Today's featured recipe comes from Group D. Lauren of Sew You Think You Can Cook made Hummus with Roasted Tomatoes and Whole Wheat Pita from her assigned blog, The Wimpy Vegetarian. I haven't had hummus in forever and I am definitely craving it after seeing Lauren's reveal day post!
Lauren had this to say about her recipe:
"I was able to check two items off my culinary bucket list thanks to Susan! I knew that hummus was simple enough to make, especially taking advantage of canned garbanzo beans (sorry, Susan!), but I always shoved it off with a comment of “one day.” Making homemade pita wasn’t something I thought I’d tackle so soon, but how can I serve hummus during a football game without some pita bread to go with it? Conveniently, Susan had a recipe for this too. And I have to say, it wasn’t as difficult as I’d anticipated!"

Black Bean Brownies: Bklyn Locavore
Today's featured recipe comes from Group C. Melissa of Bklyn Locavore made Black Bean Brownies from her assigned blog, We Heart Vegan. I don't want to call it a craze, but I've been hearing a lot about using black beans in desserts lately and I really want to try it!
Melissa had this to say about her recipe:
"So moist. So delicious. So perfect. Forget gluten-free baking, I would easily line these up to any brownies out there. The recipe makes 15-16 brownies. Good luck just eating one."
