Today's featured recipe comes from Group D blogger, Sarah of Fantastical Sharing of Recipes, who made Garbage Plate from her assigned blog, The Spiffy Cookie. As you may have guessed, that's me! I was so excited to make this copycat recipe from Erin's blog - which I've had once before in my time in SRC.
Sarah had this to say about her recipe:
"What I learned from my experience...this is A LOT of food. You may want
to half the portions. You'll never finish it. I tried so hard to do it,
but I couldn't. I subbed macaroni and cheese for macaroni salad because
none of us eat macaroni salad. We did cheeseburgers and home fries with
ONE piece of Italian bread. The "hot sauce" totally reminds me of
Skyline chili - it has some similar spices, but not all of the same
ones."

Bacon Cheddar and Chives Dip: From Gate to Plate
Today's featured recipe comes from Group D blogger, Lauren of From Gate to Plate, who made Bacon Cheddar and Chives Dip from her assigned blog, Lavender & Lovage. I think it's safe to say that bacon is amazing and goes well with practically everything. I really didn't have to see much more than bacon and cheddar together for me to start drooling. What a fabulous snack food!
Lauren had this to say about her recipe:
"I chose the Bacon Chedder and Chives Dip because I’m a huge fan of dips. I don’t know why, but I just like snacking on crackers and dip. With Easter being yesterday, it was a great opportunity to have others try it out!"

"I have only ever had this dish in a restaurant and was super excited to try making it at home (and my husband was super excited to eat it). We loved it! It turned out light, crispy, and perfectly golden."

Snickers Apple Salad: Cookin' Mimi
Today's featured recipe comes from Group B blogger, Micha of Cookin' Mimi, who made Snickers Apple Salad from her assigned blog, Little Bit of Everything. Growing up in Minnesota, I got used to weird-sounding salads and hotdishes...they were the norm and I have yet to meet one I didn't like. Snickers Apple Salad was a staple at baby showers or bridal showers or graduation parties when I was a kid.

Black Pepper Chicken Curry: bcmom's kitchen
One of today's featured recipes comes from Group A blogger, Anna of bcmom's kitchen, who made Black Pepper Chicken Curry from her assigned blog, Bewitching Kitchen. Curry has always been one of those dishes I'm afraid to make. I'm not sure why, but it is intimidating. Just looking at this recipe that Anna chose for her reveal day post makes me want to bite the bullet and try it. It looks so easy!
Anna had this to say about her recipe:
"The flavors are absolutely amazing. Sally cooks hers in a pressure cooker, and it looks a bit juicier, so I'm either going to have to start using a pressure cooker - though I'm a bit scared of the whole thing - or perhaps use a bit more coconut milk and water to get more sauce. Because, of course, I am going to be making this one again."
